Chipper and I were discussing Karl just this morning. He is getting VERY wet, and based on the elapsed times, found the 100 Mile Wilderness quite challenging. Still he is getting his miles in. The “Spot” locating beacon is having some problems with the dense, wet foliage.
I was wondering when he will be running “our” section of trail (The Spring Loop). I am guessing towards the end of this month. Which reminds me, YOU haven’t run the AT part yet. Maybe you should go and keep Karl company. Only if he keeps his socks on though…

We should join him !!!!!

LET”S DO IT!!!!
I just wrote up a Bluff training plan for myself -(have to work out the details)….
I will need some long runs later this month!
We can warn him about the leeches!! YIKES
Bounce
I think it would be cool to meet up with him and run with him. Is there a projected time he will be in CT?
forrest
He should be spending one night, August 19th, in CT, if he stays on pace.

Well that is a Tuesday ……… who can go?
We’ll need to drop off a car – I am in!

Bearded Bimblers are featured on the web site this afternoon – the first females with bearded support thus far in Karl’s quest t! You’ll recognize the group photo from Wednesday night’s run. Thanks for photo Go (for short)!
I spoke to they base camp about finding Karl on the trail in CT.
More about that soon………..
Great !!

IGGY: Here’s the new updated ETA for you…
As of this morning, Karl had 160 miles to get to the northern point of the “Spring Loop”. That is where you finished your section of the run. He has been averaging a little over 40 miles per day in the last 3 days (the trail and weather are both getting more runnable). SO, my best guess is that he will do the AT portion of our “Spring Loop” either Friday evening, or early Saturday morning.

I just read he has to take an unplanned day off today – injury problems. Plans to start out again tomorrow. I am sure this will impact his arrival in CT…. maybe a long saturday run will work out…….. hmmmmmm

Have you SEEN those toes????

New developments… Things are looking grim for Karl. He is off the trail, getting X-rayed. He hasn’t given up yet, but he will not be in CT this weekend.
forrest
Special note to IGGY: If you blinked, you missed him! Yesterday was Karl’s longest distance day of the journey so far! He began Wednesday morning in Mass, and this morning he is already in NY. I guess the AT in CT isn’t “tough enough” to slow him down.
