The Bluff 50k trail race, hosted by Bimbler’s Sound, will be held on October 26th at Guilford, Connecticut. The event will pass over a network of trails, some of which are not normally open to public access. Billed as being “…exactly what you think it isn’t…”, the Bluff is an entirely off road race with just 4 road crossings. Along the way competitors can expect a variety of trail conditions including technical rocky single track, wide forest trails, creek crossings and the infamous climb to Bluff Head. “Don’t be fooled into thinking the trails of southern Connecticut are a walk-over”; says race director Jerry Turk, “This will be a challenge for runners of all abilities and it is very exciting to be able to provide an event like it in an region that is served by few similar opportunities.”
