New Venue: Nick and Tony’s in Guilford
Football: OK, I was wrong(!). There is football, sort of… The NFL, in a lame attempt to get people interested in the Pro-Bowl, has moved the Pro-Bowl to the Sunday BEFORE the Super Bowl! Hah, like that would make any difference. At NO TIME in January do any of us want to be reminded that we could be a bunch of over-paid, under-fit professional athletes hanging out in Hawaii, instead of snow-loving, winter-hardy, un-paid Bimblers!!!!! Besides, it is AMERICAN football. Really…
Be there: At last count, at least 3 dozen of your favorite, or otherwise, Bimblers will be there!

Sunday, January 30th at 5PM at Anthony’s in Guilford. Be there, or be aware (that you may be subject to ridicule “in absentia”).
Remember, only YOU can make “The Pews” the highlight of the Bimble year that it always is. How? Two things:
1) Be there!
2) Nominate!
N.B. There is NO FOOTBALL that weekend
Please let IGGY know, via email, ASAP that you will attend. We need a headcount for Anthony’s ASAP. Just say yes now, you KNOW you don’t want to miss it.
The Committee would like to thank all of the Bimblers who attended, scold 🙂 all of the Bimblers who didn’t, and commend our fearless leader and Mistress of Ceremonies, IGGY, for a really fun time.
This particular committee member would also like to point out, to the world at large, that unlike the BS, you CAN’T believe everything you see on the internet, particularly YouTube 🙂
A special thank you to Lefty and ShellyGirl for their outstanding BS in 2010, and, with their ambitious schedule for 2011, they are heavy favorites for awards in 2011, even if they only write about half of their races! WOOHOO!
Ahh the memories of last night….the limosine drivers, the red carpet layers, the fashionista critics, the paparazzi, and the fanatic gawkers…none were in attendance, but it was to their dismay, because it was one hell of an evening of raucous fun and laughter as we celebrated another year of being Bimblers! We all piled in to Nick & Tony’s Restaurant and took over, eating and drinking our selves to a sated end, then cheering each other on as the Pew Lit Sirs (and Mams)were creatively handed out! HIP (squared) and Horray to the Pew Lit Sir Committee, MC Iggy, and all who helped pull of a memorable night! Congrats to Dr Von co-winners Shellygirl and Lefty!
Sno you did not see the paparazzi and gawkers? Maybe you drank a little more than you thought! Forrest, I think your comment about us only writing about half our races was a subliminal message for me not write anything as long as the Trans Rockies report! Plus kind of funny you talking about somebody else having an ambitious race scheudle!
Seriously, Shelly Girl and I had fun at the Pews and want to thank all those who made the night such a blast. Special kudos to the wonderful Iggster, her crack committee and, of course, Mr. Bimble for the look at our “Season of Love” (I am listening to that song from Rent as I write this)
Can’t wait to see what the new year holds for all of us. See ya on the Trails!
