A little something fun for you…. I am enjoying the stationary equipment, but not as much as these ladies. 🙂

11. Lefty convincing me to give the race a try, even though my leg left was extremely stiff, achy, and downright painful after last Sunday’s Bluff bite and most of this week. I could always stop after the first out and back when the course comes back to the start, so I went. Thanks Lefty!
10. The pre-race festivities, which included a cameo appearance from Nipmuck Dave….(if anyone knows the person who dropped a gu pack on the course last year, Dave is looking for them…and he isn’t happy!) [Read more…] about Shellygirl’s Top 11 from the Nipmuck Marathon
Here is a chart…. LSP Club chart you can print this out and keep track with me.
After major surgery and all kinds of great health – no more excuses – I need to reclaim my waistline! So I am proposing a little club… let’s call it LSP Club.(unless some clever wordsmith can come up with something more”fitting”) It is free – it takes 33 days and it comes with a chart, hopefully some funny anecdotes and a trip to the pub afterwards for all who complete this mission.
We keep track of our routine with the chart. The plan is to do 3 sets of lunges, sit-ups and push-ups 3 times per day. Over the course of 33 days try to gradually increase the number of reps you do for each activity. I plan to start with just a few reps in each set because I can barely do push-ups for example. If this is confusing – I will describe a day 1.
morning: 3 sets of sit-ups with 15 reps each, 3 sets of push ups with 5 reps each, 3 sets of lunges with 15 reps each
daytime: repeat
night time: repeat
Of course you can do any kind of sit-ups or exercises you want to change things up for yourselves – but the goal is to get to the pub at the end of 33 days a bit stronger with a cool chart to share. OK if you want prizes- I will consult with Dr Von about that possibility so as to ignite your competitive streak!
We start on Sunday August 21st… Who is IN?
OK – Here are a couple of cool animation shorts… they include bears and bucks…. enjoy while you are locked up!
Buck is an ordinary guy. Well, if you accept the “deer head” thing.
Today, Buck is going to spend the afternoon with his girlfriend who’s so happy to see him (she’s pretty much happy always). But when Buck finds out that her father is not the tolerant and sympathetic guy he expected, the Sunday afternoon turns really bad. Really bad. Like baaaaaaad bad.

As many of you Bimbler’s may know, Team Captains Ultra & Allstate have put together a Bimbler relay team for the Relay for Life event on the 25th and 26th of June at East Haven High School. During this 24 hour period we hope to keep a Bimbler or Friend of a Bimbler moving around the track constantly for 24 hours strait. This event is for lifting spirits and awareness, paying tribute, remember and honoring, fund raising, fun, endurance and more. In true Bimbler style we are emphasizing the lifting spirits, endurance and fun part of this “festival- like” event. Sure you can donate money, you can buy Mrs AJC’s & Scoobie’s cupcakes & cookies for $1.00, you can even pay to see Ultra get wet in the dunk tank. You can sleep in the tent on the football field and you can share some laughs as you make many laps around the track in any way you like. For those of us signed up – We would simply love any Bimbler’s that want to come to the event to help us do laps for fun to please come by day or night… Ultra has a schedule of the events – they even include a frozen t-shirt contest – CRAZY!
