Smuttynose Half Marathon

There was an Arsenault on the age group winners list at this years Smuttynose Half Marathon that was held at Hampton, NH on October 4th, 2009. How can that be so, when the runner we know with that name is still recovering from knee surgery? The answer is it was Becky, Kerry’s sister who showed that running must be in the Arsenault gene’s. Also winning her age group at the same race was Scoobie.

Right in my butt, and deservedly so, regardless of intent or lack thereof. So, despite the fact that I will now proceed to be completely unoriginal, I will take my lumps for offering too little thanks, too late.
Defying Death Valley
Here is an interesting article about a runner who has completed12 straight Badwater ultramarathons. During those runs he has confronted many physical ups and downs including on one occasion briefly losing consciousness and an active pulse! The guy is 67 years of age and when asked “What if you died out there?” has the view of “So, what? I gotta go sometime. I’d rather die living than live dying”.
