Seems like Mount Greylock has a certain allure to Bimblers that keeps us going back for repeat visits. While this tale can not compare in challenge with the winter visits by others in our merry band, the Mount Greylock half marathon is still a worthy challenge for any trail runner. A state of good running
It started easily enough, a 10k (OK, maybe it’s a bit longer than that!), a 50k and then a run that involved running at night. If you’re going to run through the night why make it a good distance? In fact why not go from one end of the state to the other? And so the concept of the TCU was born.

I wanted to see the beautiful views of the Mount Holyoke Range. And I was curious to experience some new trails and hoped to meet the challenge of running the supposedly very technical, hilly, difficult course. [Read more…] about Seven Sisters Seduction
Personal Invitation
When I left work yesterday the talk was all about the royal wedding. Who was going to get up early to watch and who was going to DVR it so they could sleep a little longer. I had no plans to watch at all and decided that if I was going to get up earlier I would go for a longer than usual morning run. I was not going to lose sleep to watch TV.
